Al Mustashar
A key component of this ecosystem is Al Mustashar, a first-of-its-kind digital service that connects youth directly with national challenges. Through this service, government entities present real-world challenges to young people, inviting ideas, proposals, and solutions that can be reviewed and, where applicable, officially adopted. Boxon developed Al Mustashar as a fully integrated digital challenge module, enabling the Ministry to publish challenges, collect submissions, manage review and approval processes, and award points based on participation and outcomes. By structuring idea-sharing into a measurable system, the service transforms youth input into visible contributions that feed into each participant’s overall engagement profile.
The Golden Meter
Complementing this is the Golden Meter, a centralized scoring and recognition system designed to evaluate youth engagement holistically. The Golden Meter aggregates participation across multiple dimensions, including volunteering hours, involvement in Al Mustashar challenges, educational achievements, and work experience. It serves as a clear visual indicator of individual contribution, driving leaderboard rankings, unlocking recognition, and showcasing progress across both the portal and the public website.
To support these services, Boxon implemented comprehensive volunteer and challenge management systems, covering submissions, approvals, and ongoing tracking. The platform includes integrated points systems, leaderboards, digital certificate generation, and QR-based profile sharing, allowing achievements to be easily verified and shared. Robust backend workflows, data governance frameworks, and role-based access controls ensure the platform operates securely, transparently, and at scale, meeting the Ministry’s requirements for auditability and long-term sustainability.
